How do I put a personalised message on the chocolate?
To create a personalised message just head to the creation lab. When you are creating your bar you will find the option for “custom message plaque” in the “special” tab – it is the last option. Once you have selected this option a text box will appear below it and this is where you can write your message.
Is your chocolate gluten free?
Chocolab base chocolate bars are gluten free however we do not work in a gluten free kitchen and a warning of ‘may contain traces of gluten’. If your allergy is very severe you should consider this before ordering with us.
Is your chocolate lactose free?
Our Dark Belgian Chocolate base bar is lactose free.
Is your chocolate Vegan?

How can I find the nutritional information?
If you would like nutritional information for any block you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively when you order the chocolate block the nutritional information will be provided on the packaging.
What chocolate do you use?
We use real Belgian chocolate, made with 100% natural ingredients. The chocolate is made with 100% pure cocoa butter, a selection of premium milk powders, fine sugar and a touch of pure Bourbon vanilla – which accentuates the roundness, sweetness and the creaminess of our chocolates.
Dark Chocolate: Finest Belgian dark chocolate, made from whole roasted cocoa beans and preferred by Belgian chocolatiers. Cocoa solids: 53.8%. Our dark chocolate is lactose Free.
Milk Chocolate: Finest Belgian milk chocolate that spoils you with intense cocoa taste and caramelly sweet notes, also made from whole roasted beans. Cocoa solids: 33.6%.
White Chocolate: Finest Belgian white chocolate with lots of character: luscious, creamy and delightfully sweet. Cocoa solids: 28%.

What size are the custom chocolate bars?
Our ‘Creation Lab’ chocolate bars range from 100g-180g depending on the ingredients you choose to add to your bar. The size of the bar is 15.6cm by 7.7cm which is standard for premium European chocolate blocks.
How should I store my chocolates?
The base block itself lasts up to a year. Different toppings will have varying shelf lives; we recommend consuming the chocolate within 1-2 months of purchasing for the best flavour. The chocolate blocks will remain fresh and best retain their delicate flavours and textures if they are kept in a dry atmosphere at a temperature range between 12 – 20 degrees. The chocolate should also be stored away from direct light and any strong aromas.
Can I store chocolate in the refrigerator?
We do not recommend refrigerating your chocolates, however if you have no alternative seal your chocolate blocks when you do so. Remove from the refrigerator at least two hours before eating, to allow the chocolate to slowly reach room temperature.
Why has my chocolate turned white?
Chocolate turns white when the cocoa butter within the chocolate has separated toward the surface. It is often referred to as ‘chocolate bloom’. There are several causes, most often occurring as a result of warm storage conditions. Despite its appearance, chocolate that has “bloomed” is still safe to eat.
What if there is an ingredient I want that is not listed on the site?
Send us an email at email@example.com with the ingredient you would like to add. We are constantly receiving emails with wonderful ingredient suggestions and if there is an ingredient that is very popular we add it to our site!
Do you have a store location?
Chocolab is based out of a facility in Willoughby where we make the chocolate bars, however at this stage we do not have pick up available. Orders are taken online only and shipped to your door.
